Empowering students with knowledge, tools and hope.
We are fighting for the future.
I was fortunate enough to attend the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Family Summit on the Overdose Epidemic. I’ve had first-hand experience with both parents and children whose family members are afflicted by substance misuse. And the disease of drug addiction has turned these families upside down. I learned that when a parent finds out their child is going down the road of drug addiction or a child or spouse finds out that their parent or significant other is going down the road of drug addiction, they are overwhelmed and don’t know what to do or where to turn. They fear that reporting a child, a spouse, or a parent will lead to incarceration. I learned how important it is to intervene as early as possible. And it is never too late to intervene to prevent the disastrous effects of drugs.

Our Why
Videos by SAD
We have spent hours attending conferences, volunteering and approaching this war we are fighting from a student’s point of view. We hope our action and initiatives inspire other students to learn with us.
Affiliated Organizations & Resources
With so much information available, we made it our mission to find the most reliable, up-to-date and relevant resources to inform our mission.
Support for our Communities
Our approach extends beyond the internet to help ensure students have the necessary tools, resources and information to get involved, get help and make a difference.
“When students are activists for change, other students listen.”
